Recently, SCUT has successfully registered the second-level discipline of "Emergency Management", which was one of the first batches of pilot institutes to set up the this discipline, and plans to enroll and cultivate students from 2020.
SCUT attached much importance to the task of setting up the second-level discipline of "Emergency Management": Graduate School of SCUT and School of Public Administration actively organize staff, strictly follow the procedures, and seriously completed all the preparation and registration work. The discipline argumentation scheme got highly approval from experts of Tsinghua university, Renmin university of China and Huazhong University of Science and Technology etc. Experts think that SPA has unique advantages and characteristics in setting up the second-level discipline of "Emergency Management", meets the requirements of development foundation and faculty resources, processing the ability to further develop and build the discipline.
