报告摘要:

Several approaches are being explored to build devices benefiting from size effects in nano-sciences. Self-assembling emerges as a master bottom-up technique to enable the applications of nanomaterials in the real world. Among these applications, image sensing, photodetection, and bio-sensing require capabilities beyond current devices technology. This talk will present some recent outcomes of collaborative research aimed at exploiting the benefits of Perovskite, graphene, and plasmonic photodetectors, for sensing, detecting, and harvesting light, as well as the development of ion-sensitive three-terminal devices using TiO2 nanowires for glucose or arsenic detection.


报告人简介:

Jean-Michel Nunzi studies organic and nano-photonics, self-organization, the processing and physics of nanomaterials and devices for life, energy, and sustainability. He graduated from Physique-Chimie Engineering School, Paris 1982, joined l’Ecole Polytechnique for a PhD on the nonlinear optics of surface plasmons. He was hired full-time Researcher in Organic Photonics at the Atomic Energy Commission (Saclay) in 1984. He became head of the Organic Devices Lab in 1995. He joined the Department of Physics at University of Angers as Professor and head of the Plastic Solar Cells Technology Research Team in 2000. He moved to Queen’s University on a Canada Research Chair in 2006, appointed in both the Department of Physics, Engineering Physics and Astronomy and the Department of Chemistry. He is a Research professor at NANOMARI in Kanazawa since 2019 and a Distinguished professor at Guizhou since 2024. His Web-of-Science H-factor is 54.
