Abstract: We address a semilinear elliptic problem driven by the spectral fractional Laplacian operator on a bounded domain under Neumann boundary conditions. Such a problem arises for instance in Biology when looking for steady states of Keller-Segel’s system; in our case, the diffusion is assumed to be local for the population and non-local for the chemical. By variational arguments we show the existence of non-constant solutions - local mimima of the associated energy - as well as their regularity and other qualitative properties.
