The 2015 Annual Meeting of Sub-Committee of Road Transport and Engineering, MOE Higher Education Guiding Committee for Transportation Teaching was held by SCET at Room 410 of Traffic Building on Feb. 1, 2015. Ten-plus experts of China Communications Press and universities like Beijing Institute of Technology, Chang'an University, Southeast University, Jilin University and SCUT participated in this meeting and made some discussion. Mr Xiang Cong, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs of SCUT, Prof. Su Cheng, Dean of SCET, Prof. Wen Huiying, Deputy Dean of SCET, Prof. Jin Wenzhou and some teachers of Department of Transportation Engineering attended the meeting.
Mr Xiang extended thanks to the previous guidance made by the Sub-Committee. And then Prof. Su introduced the basic information of majors related to Road Transport and Engineering at SCET, and he hoped to explore reform of professional education with other similar universities through extensive exchanges.
At the meeting, Prof. Hu Dawei, Secretary General of the Sub-Committee, explained the national standards of transportation made by the Sub-Committee not long before. After that, experts discussed the writing of textbooks of core courses under the national standards of transportation majors, and made working plan of the textbooks. Finally, members discussed the working plan of the Sub-Committee in 2015.
