Led by head teacher Hong Bo and retired teacher Wang Zhiyong, sophomores of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering had their internship at Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard Co. Ltd. (GWS).
Lecture of security education
In the shipyard, students and factory workers learned precautions of work, relevant legal provisions, daily telephone numbers, and approaches to emergency after security education, and later all passed the test on the spot.

After the lecture, the students, wearing special white helmets, entered the shipyard for practice, and visited the huge bulk carriers. Their teacher Wang Zhiyong patiently explained to everyone the principle of dock works.

This internship is a process of making knowledge figurative. No matter how vivid the description is, seeing the scene of the shipyard is much more shocked than that of books. Students could experience the hardships of workers from the internship and have a stronger interest and enthusiasm for study and exploring knowledge.
